WikiLeaks accuses cowardly Amazon of lying

WikiLeaks, battling to remain online after sparking an international furor with its release of secret US cables, accused Amazon on Friday of cowardice for booting the website off its servers.

    Amazon Web Services, after being accused of acting cowardly and lying, clarified that it abandoned web-hosting services to WikiLeaks neither because of any political pressure from the US government nor because of massive DDoS (domain denial of service) attacks but because WikiLeaks violated its Terms of Service (TOS). Amazon maintains that its TOS prohibits its subscribers from securing and storing data that is not rightfully theirs, and publishing such data which might jeopardize the life of others.
