    According to Microsoft, Windows Phone 7 platform will not be backwardly compatible with applications written for existing Windows Mobile devices.

    Charlie Kindel, Microsoft program manager for the Windows Phone Application Platform & Developer Experience disclosed this news in a March 4th blog posting.

    This news casts doubt over the future of Microsoft’s Windows Phone. Microsoft also faces stiff competition in the enterprise from Apple, RIM and Google.
